Overview

Gurugram Traffic PoliceGurugram Police, has a separate Traffic Police wing and its office is situated in Sec-51, Gurugram. Gurugram Police is divided into 3 districts namely East, West & Highways for traffic management. Traffic districts are further divided into Zone. The Jurisdiction of East district is New Gurugram, West district is Old Gurugram and Highways district is National Highway N-8 and Sohna-Alwar State Highway. Traffic Police wing is headed by DCP Traffic and 2 ACsP is also posted for the assistance of DCP. The incharge of every traffic district is a Inspector and incharge of Zone is a Sub Inspector/Assistant Sub Inspector. There are 2 Traffic Police Stations on Highways called TPS-Ist & IInd. TPS-Ist situated at Hero Honda Chowk and TPS-II is situated at Manesar. The Jurisdiction of Traffic Police Station-Ist on NH-8 is from Sirhol Toll Plaza to Kherki Daula Toll Plaza and Sohna-Alwar State Highway. The jurisdiction of Traffic Police Station-II on NH-8 is from Kherki Daula Toll Plaza to Kapriwas (Gurugram-Rewari Border). Traffic Police has one Mobile Enforcement Squad, 3 Interceptor vehicles and 6 Ambulance Vehicles.

A challaning branch has also been established in Traffic Office, Near Mayfield Garden, Sec-51, Gurugram. All challan of M.V. Act except drunken driving and No Entry are compounded in this branch.

Gurugram Traffic Police also has a Facebook page i.e. www.facebook.com/GurugramPoliceExternal website that opens in a new window in which general public give their comments on traffic management and also downloads pictures of traffic violators.

The main object of Gurugram Traffic Police is to provide better traffic management to commuters and reduce accident and make Gurugram roads safe and friendly.
